Discovery Days Preschool was established in 2000 for the purpose of offering a Christian atmosphere where children can grow and learn according to their abilitites. We strive to help each child feel positive about themselves and the world they live in.

In Playball, sports play a vital role in the health and well being of every child. Sports help us learn life skills such as respect, sportsmanship, responsibility, confidence, self-esteem, patience, tolerance and leadership.
Music & Movement denotes the use of rhythmic song and dance in education, which is beneficial for childhood development. Research shows that even infants can appreciate music and dance, illustrating a connection between body movement, rhythm and awareness.
Discovery Days Preschool is based upon the philosophy of respect for the individual child, his/her ability to grow, to think, and to play creatively, while discovering education through hands-on experiences
If you would like to setup a time to sit down and chat with the Director of Discovery Days or tour the facility please fill out the form and someone will contact you to setup a time that is convenient for you and provide you with any additional information that you may need.

Q:How young do you enroll children and at what level do they graduate?
A: Discovery Days accepts students who are toddlers through Pre-K.
Q:How do you discipline?
A:We love all our children and recognize that not one of them is perfect. When they misbehave, we correct them with loving but firm words. They may have to spend some time in time out. If misbehavior persists we meet with the parents so that they can be fully informed and we can all work together to correct the misbehavior.
Q:Is your center licensed?
A:Discovery Days is licensed exempt in the State of Alabama. Exemption means that Discovery Days is free to operate without government agency control in matters of curriculum, hiring, building design and construction, etc. Just as a church would not want government control, neither does Discovery Days.
Q: How do you choose your teachers?
A: Prayerfully. Each is interviewed by our Director's and sometimes by their assistants. Director's consider their training and experience and only hire individuals they believe will add significant value to their program.
